PROTEI Call Back Server allows operators to increase revenues while providing significant call cost savings to roaming subscribers.

Subscribers in visited networks can make much cheaper calls by sending an SMS or USSD call request to their home Call Back server. The Call Back server simultaneously calls both the roaming subscriber and the requested number and connects the two.

By ‘reversing’ the call direction, Call Back allows the operator to keep most of the call revenue and pass on savings to the subscriber.

Call Back allows the operator to provide a ‘collect call’ service for prepay customers with low balance – a particularly attractive offering in light of the growth of mobile phone use in families with young children.
