- Connects to switching equipment using SS7/ISUP over E1;

- Up to 8 signalling channels per module;

PROTEI SP (Switching Point) module.
In an Intelligent Network context, this module carries out SRF (specialized resource function) and functions for accessing IN services (CCAF - call control agent function).
PROTEI IN module.
This controls PROTEI SP modules and provides an interface with the SCP. This module provides CCF (call control function), which relates to connection requests and connection control, and SSF (service switching function).
