Interfacing
PROTEI SBC interfaces between voice codecs G.711, G.729, G.723, G.726, AMR and between signaling protocols SIP and H:323.
Bandwidth control
PROTEI Session Border Controller divides bandwidth between traffic and data. The system takes into account the amount of bandwidth occupied by users and will deny new connections if there is a danger of overloading the network.
Guaranteed Quality of Service
Different users can be given different priority on the basis of an SLA (Service Level Agreement).
Emergency number support
This function ensures that all calls to emergency numbers are processed and routed. In the case that a channel is at full capacity, emergency calls will always be put through, even if it requires dropping another connection.
Filtering
With PROTEI SBC, lists of IP addresses from which information should not be transmitted can be created, additionally ensuring the safety of the network.
Network Structure Cloaking
PROTEI SBC allows the network structure to be hidden, concealing information about the structure and configuration of the network from clients and other providers by way of an RTP proxy.
