Implementation
PROTEI Optimal Router (OR) allows voice connections to be made through the home network without using the voice loop, enabling the operator to cut expenditure on the lease of intercity and international communication channels.
Using the Optimal Router module
Visitor PLMN operators can route incoming calls to roamers from their own subscribers through PROTEI OR without using international communications channels.
Using CAMEL
This option can be used if the Home PLMN and VPLMN net support CAMEL. The main principle of this solution is that the HPLMN relays the MSRN (Mobile Station Roaming Number) to the VPLMN, allowing voice connection without the participation of the home network.
